This Saturday I plan to tackle the garage door lock.
Get up early and run a CAT6 and 16/4 cable in the attic from the roll door to the rack. Mount the actuator and wire everything up. I’ll probably use the keyfob for now and then work on the micro controller. I don’t want to end up having issues with the micro controller like I did with the sprinker system. When I deployed the sprinkler system I came home that following Monday to the system running. All of the zones were on and flooded the whole yard.
Reminds me, I need to grab a couple of 2x4s from a job site dumpster and swing by home depot for something to attach the actuator to.
