I decided to go all out on this build. I splurged and got some TIL311/DIS1417 Displays, found some 802 style edge cards and sockets. Not a true S-100 BUS but good enough. I’m going to get the Backplane Board professionally made, as in create it in CAD and send it to a PCB house. I also need to get a Adapter made for the Zilog KIO chip since the Edge Cards are Protoboard/Stripboard.
I’m even going as far as building the chassis by hand as well. Probably out of Aluminum Angle Brackets, Sheet Metal and Acrylic. So after the New Year I’ll probably go shopping at Home Depot for the Chassis parts. Until then I am buying up the Electronic parts to get a base system going.
