Budget Server

I am slapping together a PC to act as the “Home Server”. What I mean by Budget Server is a bunch of old PC hardware tossed randomly into a case.

I’m using a Compaq Mid Tower UATX Case found in the trash. It’s missing a side Panel cover.

Motherboard: HP 5188-7535 Livermore-GL6
CPU: Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz
RAM: 2GB PC25300
Storage: 160GB Fujits SATA Hard Drive
Heaksink from a HP Proliant

Debaiting to toss in three more Hard Drives. I have a open SATA port and two IDE PATA channels open. If I had a Floppy Drive I would toss it in just for kicks

The role for the Server is going to be a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Maybe even host some old school games on the Network and try to revive the Retro Gaming Weekends with the Kids. I honestly been itching to play some old shool CS and DOOM.

As of right now I have Debian 9, Apache2, PostgreSQL and PHP installed. Sometime I need to portforward the proper ports and start hosting a Website.
